INFFITECHInffitech, a global innovator in cash automation and biometric solutions with over 20 years of industry experience, capped off a showing at NRF 2026 Retail's Big Show Asia Pacific, unveiling its latest self-checkout terminal and next-generation cash handling devices to retailers, distributors, and system integrators from across the region.
Held at Marina Bay Sands, the three-day event brought together retail leaders from the world's fastest-growing markets — and Inffitech's booth became a focal point for operators looking to solve two persistent challenges: speeding up the checkout experience while driving cost out of cash handling.

Smaller Store, Smaller Queue: A Self-Checkout Terminal Built for Tight Spaces
At the heart of Inffitech's showcase was its new compact self-checkout terminal — designed specifically for small-to-mid-size supermarkets and convenience stores where floor space is at a premium and checkout queues are a daily pain point.
The terminal accepts every mainstream payment method — banknotes, coins, QR codes, bank cards, and palm-print biometrics — in a three-step flow: scan, confirm, pay. On the operator side, automated cash processing eliminates manual counting, reduces reconciliation errors, and trims labor costs, all in a footprint small enough to fit into existing store layouts without renovation.
"Retailers in the APAC region are telling us they don't want to choose between saving space and saving time — they need both," said Simon Zhang, sales director at Inffitech. " This terminal was designed from the ground up to deliver a frictionless consumer experience while quietly automating the back-office work that drains staff hours."

CCS-30 Series Cash Recycler: Tackles High-Volume Cash Handling for Space-Starved Retail Environments
For high-traffic environments where cash remains the dominant payment method, Inffitech introduced its CCS-30 series — a unified banknote and coin recycling system that processes, validates, counts, stores, and dispenses change in a single compact unit.
The banknote recycler (CCS-30-B) handles up to 4 notes per second, supports 4 denominations with up to 100 notes each for change, and uses multi-spectral scanning combined with magnetic-signal detection for counterfeit protection. An auto-alignment mechanism corrects note orientation on intake, while intelligent sorting routes rejected notes directly to the cashbox — cutting jam rates and service calls.
The coin recycler (CCS-30-C) processes 5 coins per second, accepts up to 50 coins in a single drop, and stores up to 8 denominations of 400 coins each. Built-in safeguards handle foreign objects, unclaimed coins, and full-capacity overflow without operator intervention.
The modular architecture allows both units to integrate beneath counters or into self-service kiosks, adding cash automation without consuming additional floor space — a critical advantage in dense urban retail environments.
Why It Matters Now
The global shift toward frictionless retail isn't limited to card-and-mobile markets. In much of Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa, cash remains the primary transaction method — and the demand is not for cashless systems, but for smarter cash systems.
According to The Business Research Company's 2026 market report, the global automated cash handling device market is projected to grow from 5.97 billion in 2025 to 9.54 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 9.8% — driven by rising security and fraud concerns, growing demand for automation in financial institutions, and continued cash dependence in emerging economies. Inffitech's latest product series enters this landscape with a clear thesis: the future of retail cash isn't about removing cash — it's about automating it so thoroughly that the consumer barely notices it.
